I feel
very fortunate that my father (a concert violinist and graduate of
the Julliard School of Music), introduced me to my love of music,
and the guitar at the age of 5. Learning basic music theory, which I
mixed with my own creativity, I soon learned I had the ability to
re-create most anything I heard and loved being able to add my own
feel to the songs.
Influenced
through the years by groups like the Beatles, The Doobie Brothers,
and Creedence Clearwater Revival, I developed my own playing style,
which is purely a mixture of all the great musicians I learned from
earlier in my life.
I will
start out writing a song that has a taste of John Fogerty in it,
then go on to something much heavier, where you might notice a touch
of Black Sabbath, or maybe even some James Gang "funk", then move on
to an instrumental, with the influence of my guitar hero, Joe
Satriani.
I have so many influences that there isn't enough
room on this page to name them all.
Though most all of my music must have at least a touch, or slight
feel, or influence by some great musician, I always reach into my
soul and inner spirit to create something very unique, using my own
style which I've been working on my entire life.
After spending most of the 80's doing the Hollywood
club scene with many different bands, I found that I was much
happier being in my studio writing and recording my own music. It
was like my head was full of ideas just screaming to be let out!
